Abstract
The radially polarized partially coherent Laguerre–Gaussian (LG) (0,1)∗(0,1)∗ beam is introduced and its paraxial propagation properties are studied. The effect of propagation parameters on the intensity distribution, the beam quality, the polarization property and the coherent property of the beam is illustrated analytically and numerically. It is shown that in free space the correlation length has a significant influence on the intensity profile and the degree of polarization.
