Abstract
The generalization of Bethe–Bouwkamp diffraction theory for the case of diffraction by the hole in absorbing and transparent thin screens and by the disks is proposed. Duality transformation of Bethe–Bouwkamp solution is implemented. The approximate analytical expressions are found for the near electromagnetic diffraction field for extremely small hole or disk.
