Abstract
A novel method to recognize polarization configuration is proposed. The method is based on analysis of torsion and curvature of three-dimensional curve segments. The three-dimensional curve segments is defined by series of points represent states of polarization. The obtained results indicate that the analysis of torsion and curvature permits to identify the polarization configuration consisting of four or more states of polarization.
