Abstract
⺠Driving force of quantum dot growth is affected by the deposited amount and surface strain. ⺠High deposited amount and large surface strain lead to a strong driving force. ⺠Increase of the driving force results in wetting layer with a smaller thickness. ⺠It also leads to quantum dot with a larger size on strained substrate.
