In the present work, we have studied the second- and third-harmonic generation in GaAs triangle quantum wires. The analytic expressions for the second- and third-harmonic generation are obtained using a compact density matrix approach and an iterative procedure. According to the results it is found that by optimizing the confinement potential, the maximum third-harmonic generation can be obtained. Another important point is that the structural parameters have a great influence on the second- and third-harmonic generation in this system.
