Abstract
⺠Effects of the small scale on dynamic instability of carbon nanotubes are described. ⺠A non-local effective model is used to calculate the dynamic characteristics of MWNTs. ⺠An axially tensional oscillating force may induce parametric resonance of carbon nanotubes.
