Abstract
The cross-section for neutrino-nucleon neutral current (NC) elastic scattering contains the axial vector form factor G1(Q2) as well as the electromagnetic form factors. Strange part of G1 is proportional to strange part of nucleon spin (Îs) in the Q2â0 limit. Measurement of the NC elastic cross-section in the small Q2 region enables us to access Îs. Experimentally, the signal of NC elastic scattering is a single proton. Analysis for the single proton events using geometrical and energy deposit information on reconstructed track was performed by SciBooNE experiment. SciBooNE is an experiment for the measurement of neutrino-nucleon scattering cross-sections using neutrino beam with energy peak at 0.7 GeV at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. NC elastic scattering data sample including νpâνp and νnâνn is obtained. The absolute cross-section as a function of nucleon kinetic energy is reported.
