Abstract
► Binding energies of (D0) and (D−) centres in a Gaussian QD of GaAs are calculated. ► Effect of confinement on the dipole moment of (D−) complex in GaAs QD is obtained. ► Our variational results compare well with those obtained by exact numerical results.
