Abstract
A detailed investigation of optical properties of spherical harmonic potential quantum dot (QD) under the influence of elliptically polarized laser field has been done. The optical properties are found to be greatly influenced by the ellipticity of the laser field. Further, the role of confinement strength as a control parameter on the linear as well as nonlinear properties has been demonstrated.
