Abstract
Partial-wave method is developed to calculate the cluster scattering in a two-dimensional electron gas (2DEG). The analytical formulas of the phase angles are obtained for the square well potential in two-dimensional (2D) system. InxGa1−xN/GaN quantum well is set as an example. The calculated results are compared with the conventional theory based on Born approximation. We find our theory is more reliable to deal with the cluster scattering especially when the scattering potential is strong. The reasons of the invalidity of Born approximation are also discussed.
