Abstract
⺠A maser device using a magnetic tunnel junction is proposed. ⺠Maser action is predicted using rate equations for spin and photon number inside a microwave cavity. ⺠Spin polarized current is needed to achieve spin population inversion. ⺠A transfer Hamiltonian is used to determine the spin current flowing through the junction.
