Abstract

For the strong size quantization case, interband absorption coefficient in cylindrical layer quantum dot under the influence of both magnetic and electric fields was investigated. In the plane of quantum dot cross-section, the electronic states were approximated with the two-dimensional rotator model in the magnetic field. Interband absorption coefficient for different electric field orientations was calculated. According selection rules were determined.
