Abstract
In this work we have calculated the effect of the infinite cylindrical quantum well-wire barrier on the donor electron within a variational scheme. The binding energy and the self-polarization effect are calculated for different location of impurity ion as function of both electric and magnetic fields. We find that, self-polarization effect depends strongly on the applied magnetic field.
