Abstract
âºA cogeneration of power and water suitable for concentrated solar power is proposed. ⺠Optimization of cogeneration operation results in significant improvements of savings. ⺠A system-level model for power generation and hybrid desalination is proposed and validated. ⺠Thermal desalination is only promising if advances in its performance are made. ⺠The current incentives for renewable electricity and power do not favor desalination.
