Abstract
► Glassy carbon (GC) is used as catalytic material for counter electrode in DSC. ► Relation of GC crystallinity and GC catalytic activity is investigated. ► The GC with low crystallinity shows high catalytic activity. ► The enhanced catalytic activity is attributed to increased active sites. ► The active sites locate at the edges of graphene stacks in GC.
