Abstract
⺠We model temperature evolution in a room with a chilled ceiling and a heat source. ⺠The modeling considers the coupling of Rayleigh-Bénard convection and a thermal plume. ⺠Theory is confirmed with scale-model experiments. ⺠A chilled ceiling can cool or avoid the heating of a room.
