Abstract
Ca(3âx)Srx(PO4)2:2Â mol%Eu2+ fibers were fabricated through the electrospinning process and followed by the calcination treatment. The fibers were characterized by XRD, SEM, TEM, and spectrophotometer. The XRD results showed that the obtained fibers have the whitlockite-related structure. The SEM and TEM images showed that the fibers with diameters about 100Â nm are mesoporous and composed of fine and closely linked nanoparticles. Under the 365Â nm UV light excitation, Ca(3âx)Srx(PO4)2:2Â mol%Eu2+ fibers show emissions with different peak positions. The emission color is tunable from blue to green and to green-yellow in the visible region of the spectrum by varying the Sr/Ca ratios.
