Abstract
- Spindle-like ZnO architectures were synthesized by hydrothermal approach.
- Oleylamine played a vital role in the formation of the spindle-like ZnO.
- We proposed the possible formation mechanism of the products.
- The products exhibited a high, reversible and fast response to ethanol.
