Abstract
⺠We study Fowler-Nordheim field emission from micro-structures and quantum wires. ⺠We derive a new electron dispersion law in strong electric field for III-V materials. ⺠FNFE oscillates with 1/B, electron statistics and increases with electric field. ⺠For quantum wires, FNFE increases with thickness due to V-H singularity. ⺠All results transform in to the well-known FNFE formula under certain conditions.
