Abstract
► The article represents synthesis of Co3O4/CoO nanorods by microwave route. ► It was found that Co3O4/CoO nanorods have a length of 80 nm and a diameter of 42 nm. ► The optical band energy gap of the product was 1.79 eV. ► The materials behave as semiconducters and exhibit soft magnetic behavior. ► This makes Co3O4/CoO nanorods very useful for supercapacitor devices application.
