Abstract
We have investigated the ground-state exciton lifetime of PbSe nanocrystal quantum dots (NQDs). We found, under variation NQDs sizes, surrounding temperature and media, that the ground-state exciton lifetime of PbSe core NQDs showed a steep decrease of the lifetime from 6 to 1 μs when the temperature is changed from 7 to 150 K, while above that temperature, there is only a minor change in the measured lifetime, which are influenced of the surrounding medium.
