Abstract
Superlattices of monodisperse Fe3O4 nanoparticles in a polystyrene matrix are fabricated by directly blending the monodisperse Fe3O4 nanoparticles with the polystyrene at slightly above the melting point of polystyrene. We characterized the superlattices with TEM and XRD. We observed that the superlattices scatteredly formed in the polystyrene matrix and their sizes increased with increase in the concentration of the Fe3O4 nanoparticles in the polystyrene matrix.
