Generally, chemical processes (CP) are designed with the use of inaccurate mathematical models. Therefore, it is important to create a chemical process that guarantees satisfaction of all design specifications either exactly or with some probability. The paper considers the problem of solving one-stage optimization problem with chance constraints. The main issue in solving one-stage optimization problems is calculating multiple integrals (calculating the expected value of the objective function and probabilities of constraints satisfaction). Here we consider a new approach to solving a one-stage optimization problem with chance constraints in the case when uncertain parameters are dependent, normally distributed random, variables. This approach is based on transformation of chance constraints into deterministic ones.
► Problem of the optimal design of chemical processes under uncertainty is considered. ► Transformation of chance constraints with dependent variables to deterministic ones. ► Method of solving optimization problems with chance constraints is developed.
