Abstract
Nano-scaled bare Sn electrode with high-quality nano-SEI is designed to improve stability for lithium ion battery. An electrolyte additive plays a role of a good oxidizing agent to remove highly oxidized carbon compounds in SEI during in-situ electrochemical SEI formation cycle. The high-quality nano-SEI formed improves greatly rate-capability and capacity of nano-sized bare Sn electrodes without complex material treatment. 257
