Controlled synthesis of porous spinel cobaltite core-shell microspheres as high-performance catalysts for rechargeable Li-O2 batteries

Hierarchical spinel core-shell microspheres were synthesized by a facile solvothermal method, including NiCo2O4, MnCo2O4 and ZnCo2O4. By taking advantage of the superior electrocatalytic activity and porous unique features, the as-prepared catalyst electrode exhibited low overpotentials, high rate capacity as well as excellent long-term cyclability.141
