Abstract
Self-supported Li4Ti5O12-TiO2 nanowire array 3D anodes exhibiting superior electrochemical performance have been developed through a facile hydrothermal process, followed by an ion exchange process. With this unique dual phase nanowire array structure, Li4Ti5O12 leads to high physical stability resulting in long cycling stability while the TiO2 improves the capacity of the electrode, and the dual phase structure contributes to high-rate cyclability.210
