Abstract
⺠Plasmons at the metal-dielectrics interface overcome the diffraction limits plaguing conventional nano-lasers. ⺠Fundamentals of plasmonic lasers including plasmon amplification, quality factor, and dark modes are reviewed. ⺠Potential applications to sub-wavelength photonic circuits and single-molecule studies are discussed.
