The 450 °C isothermal section of the Zn–Fe–Al–P quaternary system with Zn being fixed at 93 at% has been determined experimentally using scanning electron microscopy coupled with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction. The AlP and L-Zn phases both are in equilibrium with all other phases in the section, respectively, except Fe2P phase. The solubility of P in ζ, Fe2Al5 and FeAl3 phases is very limited. Zn can be dissolved in all compounds existing in the equilibrium alloys. Six four-phase regions existing in the isothermal section have been confirmed experimentally using the equilibrated alloys approach. More experimental works are needed to verify the putative region (L-Zn+ζ+Fe2P+FeP).
