Abstract
► Mg-Zn, Mg-Sn and Sn-Zn binary systems are thermodynamically modeled. ► The binary liquid phases are modeled using the modified quasi-chemical model. ► The binaries are extrapolated to construct the Mg-Sn-Zn ternary. ► No ternary parameter is used to construct the ternary. ► The calculated Mg-Sn-Zn diagram shows very good consistency with experimental data.
