Abstract
Experimental phase diagrams are difficult to obtain at high pressures and high temperatures. A way to estimate these diagrams is to calculate them by extrapolating available experimental quantities determined at lower pressures and lower temperatures. A method of phase diagram calculation based on physical models for extrapolations of the data, is suggested in this work. Its reliability has been shown with Ag-Cu phase diagram calculations up to 2000Â K and 10Â GPa. A good agreement with the available experimental data is observed up to 5Â GPa. For higher pressures, experimental data are only available for pure copper up to 97Â GPa; therefore, no comparison is possible.
