Abstract
Hysteretic responses of NARloy-Z tested at elevated temperatures at various strain rates and amplitude indicate energy dissipation during the loading. A phenomenological model that includes the effect of temperature increases due to energy dissipation is considered to explain the stress softening in the hysteretic responses during cyclic loading. Relationship between the calculated total energy dissipation and temperature increases when specimens fail, and recorded time to failure from experiment.299
