Abstract
⺠We model single phase, anisotropic grain growth using Q-state Monte Carlo method. ⺠We used a variety of Wulff plot configurations to assign grain boundary energies. ⺠High energy grain boundaries migrate faster than corresponding low energy boundaries. ⺠Found abnormal grain growth associated with certain Wulff plot configurations. ⺠Anisotropic growth showed lognormal grain distributions with large positive skew.
