Abstract
► Cellular automaton is used for simulating dynamic recrystallization of NiTi alloy. ► The evolution of dislocation density during dynamic recrystallization is revealed. ► The dynamically recrystallized grains exhibit repeated nucleation and finite growth. ► The resultant recrystallized grain size hardly depends on the initial grain size.
