Abstract
⺠A subroutine, based on parametric FE modelling technique, was developed. ⺠Realistic mechanical behaviour of nonwovens can be predicted with this model. ⺠Direct modelling of fibres is strategic for modelling nonhomogeneous structures. ⺠Deformation behaviour of nonwovens under complex loading can be predicted. ⺠The developed model reduces trial-and-error in designing nonwoven materials.
