Abstract
⺠Developed a method for predicting all possible elastic constants of UD composites. ⺠Used statistically realistic 3D RVE with pseudo-random fibre arrangement. ⺠Extended a 2D RVE macro-micro homogenization formulation to cope with 3D RVEs. ⺠Validation studies showed our method to give closest comparisons with experiments. ⺠Parametric studies show exciting features of the virtual framework and composites.
