Abstract
⺠An ellipsoidal void model for sheet metal forming is proposed. ⺠Prestrain is introduced in this ellipsoidal void model. ⺠The calculated hole expansion ratio agrees moderately with the experimental ratio. ⺠The ratio calculated from ordinary criterion disagrees with the experimental ratio.
