Abstract
⺠Structural, elastic and electronic properties of CaX (X = S, Se and Te). ⺠The B1 to B2 phase transition was found at 35.8, 32.7 and 26.5 GPa for CaS, CaSe and CaTe respectively. ⺠The generalized stability criterion was discussed in B1 and B2 phases. ⺠The pressure dependence of structural, elastic and electronic parameters was discussed. ⺠Insulator-conductor transition in the B2 phase was found at 83 and 70 GPa for CaS and CaSe respectively.
