Abstract
- Fatigue properties of unidirectional composites are calculated at three geometric scales by fibre and matrix properties.
- As the geometric size increases, the composite S-N slope does not significantly change.
- The composite fatigue lives are over-predicted by one order of magnitude.
- The composite normalized axial stiffness degradation curves are well predicted.
