Abstract
⺠Size effect and fracture mechanism of 3C-SiC thin films during tension are studied. ⺠With increasing thickness of SiC thin films, potential energy per atom decreased. ⺠With increasing thickness, Young's modulus, strength and elongation increased. ⺠With increasing temperature, Young's modulus, strength and elongation decreased.
