Abstract
⺠Phase field model has been developed to simulate isothermal β âÂ Ï transformation. ⺠Four ellipsoid Ï variants align along the four ã1 1 1ã directions are nicely simulated. ⺠The simulations predicted the microstructural evolution and soft impingement upon different conditions. ⺠The low growth rate of Ï phase and stability of the Ï + β microstructures are nicely explained by the model.
