Abstract
⺠The strength of bonded-clamped interfaces increases with pressure. ⺠A microscale interaction mechanism is simulated computationally. ⺠The adhesive is assumed to have pressure-dependent shear strength. ⺠The model correctly predicts macroscopic strength of bonded parts. ⺠The model correctly show no effect of roughness and material.
