Abstract
⺠Longitudinally reinforced concrete beams without stirrups were examined. ⺠The scale effect on diagonal shear failure was analyzed. ⺠Effective length-to-depth ratio leff/d, differed in the beams. ⺠Differences of crack propagation were observed in tests. ⺠Numerical simulation confirmed the influence of leff/d on shear failure.
