Abstract
⺠Reverse engineering was used to convert a real molar tooth into a virtual numerical model. ⺠A 3D finite element analysis was performed in order to determine the stress field in a Class II restored tooth. ⺠The numerical results validated versus in vitro results experimental testing of restored teeth. ⺠The elastic singularity of dental joints was determined using complex functions. ⺠The influence of the restorative materials properties and joint angle was investigated.
