Abstract
► The fatigue life of a coarse grained superalloy specimen is investigated. ► Grains are approximately in the size of the notch in the specimen. ► A Monte Carlo analysis was performed by randomising the grain structure. ► Placements and orientations of the grains were randomised. ► The output variation in the fatigue life was investigated.
