Abstract
⺠A three body potential function is proposed to simulate SPDT of SiC precisely. ⺠Diamond undergoes sp3-sp2 transition which happens to be the cause of tool wear. ⺠Radial distribution function can characterize the graphitization of diamond. ⺠Change in coordination number can be used to quantify the diamond tool wear.
