Abstract
► We predict the point defects resulting from decay of Sr-90 into Zr-90 in SrTiO3. ► The valence change from Sr to Zr reduces the oxidation state of lattice Ti. ► Polyvalent nonradioactive constituents may help stabilize nuclear waste forms.
