Abstract
⺠In the current study we present a numerical analysis of three-pass slot weld. ⺠We studied the effect of the plasticity theory on the predicted residual stresses. ⺠We showed that the isotropic hardening model over-predict residual stresses. ⺠We showed that the kinematic hardening model slightly under-predict residual stresses. ⺠We found the mixed isotropic-kinematic hardening model accurately predict residual stresses.
