Abstract
⺠The microstructure of ceramic tool materials is represented by Voronoi tessellation. ⺠Cohesive elements are added along grain boundaries to model intergranular fracture. ⺠Model with smaller grain sizes has greater cracking resistance ability. ⺠Improving grain boundary strength helps enhance fracture resistance property. ⺠Introducing microcracks contributes to greater fracture resistance.
