Abstract
► The microstructure of ceramic tool materials is represented by Voronoi tessellation. ► Cohesive elements are added along grain boundaries to model intergranular fracture. ► Model with smaller grain sizes has greater cracking resistance ability. ► Improving grain boundary strength helps enhance fracture resistance property. ► Introducing microcracks contributes to greater fracture resistance.
