Abstract
Finite-element models were developed to study the effect of cement lines on microcracks' paths. Dissimilar global stress-strain behaviours were observed between different models. The Haversian canals affect the distribution of max. principal stress and microcracks paths. Presence of a cement lines demanded higher levels of stress and strain for microcracks. A significant difference between the total microcrack lengths was observed for different models.
