Abstract
⺠We modeled how concurrent kinetics of sputtering, re-deposition and mass transport contribute to surface instability. ⺠We developed three dimensional simulations to study surface morphology evolution. ⺠We found that a spontaneous transition from ripples to dots plays a crucial role in the ordering and self-alignment of dots.
